Rajalakshmi Stampings was established in the year 1988 as an ancillary to NGEF Ltd., to manufacture Electrical Motor Stampings and Transformer Laminations. The company has hence expanded to include High Pressure Die Casting and Precision Slitting of Steel Coils.
Today, it is one of the Top Companies in India for manufacturing of Electrical Motor Stampings for Large and Small Motors & Generators for AC/DC Machines.
In the year 1992, the company received a National Award from the President of India for Import Substitution. This was for manufacturing of Electrical couplers for Calcutta Metro that saved several crores in foreign exchange for India.
